The Masterson Method® is an integrated, multi-modality method of equine massage. It is a unique, interactive method of equine massage in which you learn to recognize and use the responses of the horse to your touch to find and release accumulated tension in key junctions of the body that most affect performance. In contrast to most traditional modalities, it enables the horse to actively participate in the process of releasing tension. It is something you do with the horse, rather than to the horse. This participation and interaction are what makes the method fascinating for those who use it. In fact, if you do not allow the horse to participate, it does not work!

I have been around horses all my life, I am a qualified riding instructor and have worked in the UK and Germany with dressage horses, show jumpers and young stock. In recent years I have been involved with the running of a small TB Stud Farm, as well as producing and competing my own horses in eventing and dressage.
​
I believe that a happy horse and top performance comes from a whole-horse approach to management, and more often than not, this includes holistic therapies. I am passionate about helping horses and owners to reach their potential. For me, the Masterson Method encapsulates this approach, which is why I have trained as a practitioner.
As well as owners and their horses, I enjoy working alongside vets, physiotherapists, farriers, equine dentists and fellow complementary practitioners in order to help owners facilitate the whole-horse approach.
